This is us in the Hotel Lobby before our shows.  Each of us had already been notified of which show we were to compete in, and who we were competing against.  We were still great friends after the talent had been chosen, and the winners were announced.

We all gathered on stage after the tapings and sang together and it was a wonderful harmony, both in "voice" and in "emotion".  We truly found "friends" for life in Texas.  There may be only 5 that are to continue on the journey to Nashville for the finals, but everyone was a winner in this group.  We all learned from one another and will never forget what it's like to be part of the "best" of the "best".

Preparing to take center stage.... and the first contestant of the 3rd show.  Make-up was being applied only to add "color".... because the "life" was in his feet.....  Gliding across the stage, Billy fit the image, and transformed into the "Boot Scoot Daddy"....(laughing)

One look at the suit, and Billy was asked by the Television Studio and Prosing representatives to take the stage for a "photo" shoot.....  I grabbed my camera as well and below is the result of a "Star in the making."

This is Billy as the show began taping.  The Television Show is to air Nationally.   We will be notified when our taping is to air.  We hope to try and have a "calendar" list of each contestant and the date of the shows.

It was a "wonderful" opportunity to "test" our level of experience, and just sit back and enjoy the rest of the show.  To describe the whole event in just one word would be impossible, but "Entertainment" would be a starting point.

Make sure you look for next years advertising for the 2000 event.We all may see Billy on the Poster!!!

Billy with Beverly and Kevin as they congratulate him on taking FIRST place in his competition.  Billy now will go on to compete in the Finals held in Nashville TN over Labor Day weekend.  Billy will have all his accommodations and flight arrangements provided by Prosing for being the winner of his event.
