Belinda arrived in Houston Friday afternoon. I was sitting in the lobby waiting for the shuttle to take me into town, but I also wanted to size up the competition as they arrived. I went unnoticed as I sat in the lobby watching as the contestants checked in. I was able to hear their speaking voice as they stated their name to the hotel clerk at the desk. I wondered what style, song, genre, that each had brought to the table. Belinda took the stage Friday night at rehearsals and captured everyone's attention. | |

Nnnnnniiiiiiighhhhhhttt" Belinda started singing before she could talk. She sang her first wedding at the age of 13, never taking a lesson until college. Belinda has been in 4 bands over the past 8 years, and continues to find music a major role in her life. "Music has always been the key to unlock my soul. It has got me through all the rough times in my life, I was actually studying to be a Music Therapist because I truly believe Music heals. Texas was such a great experience for me. I will treasure it always, meeting all my new friends and feeling so welcome with such great voices. We can all make dreams come true, I believe that." |

Belinda arrived early to watch and support others in different shows. She had been at the studio for nearly 10 hours by the time arrived for her to shine. She performed brilliantly, the entire audience sat in silence, listening to each and every note. Belinda gave the competition something to ponder as they awaited the judges scores. She has a way of touching peoples lives making a great impact on how they see themselves. Belinda has a gift, most only wish they had the desire and drive she obtains in her character traits. | |

Billy and Belinda in the lobby of King Feature Productions. Belinda and Billy arrived in Houston at the same time. They share a bond musically, as did we all, but these two have more in common based on life experiences and challenges than most. Each considered the other to be a wonderful friend and "family" member. This weekend will never be forgotten by any that was in attendance. It is something that we will look back on with fond memories. We will remember it clearly as we tell our grandchildren about the time we performed on television with some of the most talented individuals we had encountered in our lifetime.
